Feral Cat 2023
Co-fermented Loganberry Wine
FEELS: Berry, Tart, Fresh
TASTES OF: Raspberry + Lemon Sorbet with floral notes
AFTERTASTE: Fresh bramble berries with bruised/jammy undertones and hints of rose
Aromas of rose and lemon practically leap out of the glass. In terms of flavor, the loganberries are distinct and gently tannic, yet come across as jammy or maybe even candy-like. The natural tartness of the berries provides a great balance, helping this dry wine to come across as surprisingly juicy.

Feral Cat, 2021 vintage: 0.82 Tons of Loganberries (Cowlitz Co. Washington) and 1.05 tons of Albariño grapes (King’s River, California) were crushed and blended together in stainless steel. A spontaneous fermentation was initiated immediately via carbonic maceration, and remained active for ten days. Grapes and berries were pressed gently on day 12 and the fermenting juice was collected and immediately bottled. These bottles have been disgorged. 74 cases produced.
